Visit Visa

1) Foreign passport

• The validity of the passport should be at least three months from the date of leaving Schengen Area
• The passport has to be issued during last 10 years;
• Minimum 2 free pages in the passport;

2) Visa Application Form

• Visa Application Form has to be signed and filled correctly, without omissions, with precise indication of the period of stay:
• The Visa Application form (Application for a visa authorising a stay shorter than 3 months) can be acquired from the Consular Department of Hungarian Embassy or Hungary Visa Center or it can be downloaded from the following link English, Russian.
• It is necessary to fill it only in English language;

3) Photo:

• One color photo (size 3,5:4,5)
• The photo should be on the white background.
• The photo should be not older than six months from the day of the submitting the application form. Photo to be pasted on the visa application form.

4) Medical insurance:

• Medical insurance has to be valid for the whole period of stay on the territory of all member states of Schengen area.
• It should cover the cost of medical prescriptions and transfer to Homeland.
• The minimum sum assured should be 30.000 Euro.
• It is recommended to add 2 additional days in the amount of the staying days.

5) Documents required:

• For those in service - the original reference from the workplace, including salary, the address and contact information about employee, with the notary confirmed translation into English language (the original in English language, with the stamp and signature is also accepted)
• For private businessman - certificate of company registration (VÖEN) with the notary confirmed translation into English language; for individual private entrepreneurs – the statement from registry with the notary confirmed translation into English language
• For Retired personnel – the certificate from State Social Protection Fund about size of pension , with the notary confirmed translation into English language;
• For students - the reference from the place of study (in English, or with the notary confirmed translation into English language), or student card copy (if not in English - with the notary confirmed translation into English language). In view of lack of income, for the students it`s necessary to present the document from the workplace of the one of their parents, with notary confirmed translation into English language, or from other supporting person with the letter about covering all the costs of the supported person with the notary confirmed translation into English language;
• For unemployed - the bank reference about present bank account with the statements for the last 6 months, bill of sale on the name of the applicant;
• For all categories - The bank reference with the full information about present bank account;

6) Documents for the purpose of the visit entry: The basic form of the invitation is the letter from the Immigration Office of Hungary. This letter includes the information of the inviting and invited person (people). It includes information about accommodation of the inviting person as well.

If the student, or the person, who has residency in Hungary invites the guests to the flat, where he lives, in the absence of above mentioned invitation letter it is required to submit the following documents: 1) İnvitation letter (in Hungarian, or in English language) from him/her with the information about himself/herself and information about invited guests, with the indication of the address of temporary residence in Hungary, where he invites the guests, his contacts, period of the planned visit of the guests,

7) All the necessary copies:

• Foreign passport (in case of having Schengen visas for last three years, their copies)
• ID card (A4 format);
• Medical insurance;
• Ticket;
• If spouses go together - copy of the marriage certificate, with notary confirmed translation into English language. If only one of the spouses has a trip, but another is covering the costs – the letter of attorney about material support and the marriage certificate with notary confirmed translation into English language.

All the copies has to be made in A4 format

The Consul can require additional documents as well

If the person is not the citizen of Azerbaijan Republic, he is required to submit a legal document, confirming legitimate stay of the person on the territory of Azerbaijan Republic.
