Visa Procedure
Procedure for visa applications to the Consular Section of the Hungarian Embassy

1) The period of consideration of visa applications:
The applicant may submit an application for a visa not earlier than 3 months and not later than 15 working days before the planned departure. The period of consideration of visa takes between 7 to 15 working days. However, it may last longer if the consul would require additional documents. For citizens of some countries, the processing of visa applications may take longer.
2) The fees for applicant 12 year and above is - 35 euros;
- Visa is free in the following cases for children under 12 years of age.
- It is also free for pensioners and other categories of persons who receive social security benefits and can provide the appropriate certificate from the State Social Protection Fund with a certified notary in an English translation.
- If you have an invitation from children to parents, from parents to children who have permanent or temporary residence in Hungary (the requirements set out in the list of documents in order to "visit";)
- For People who are traveling with the aim of supporting sports in the presence of a letter from the Hungarian Federation of Azerbaijan and the relevant sport authorities;
- For People traveling to a conference with the invitation of an international intergovernmental organization, some national government agencies with the support of the Hungarian Council of Europe;
For citizens of countries that have not signed the Agreement on simplification of visa regime with the EU - the payment for the visa is 60 euros.
3) The Schengen visa at the Consular Section of the Embassy of Hungary may be issued only if the country of principal residence is Hungary. If visits planning to several countries, then with the condition that Hungary is a country of first entry and the number of dwells days in other Schengen does not exceed the number of days abides in Hungary.
